Our local 8th grade was having a dance. Our family friend who is in 8th grade, decided instead of going out to eat with his friends before the dance, he wanted to invite them all over to his house and cook for them. Everyone got into the idea. They borrowed fine china and chargers. I made decorations. His mom took off work the day of the dinner to get things ready. I made three Martha Stewart pom-poms to hang from the chandelier, and we curled ribbon. My big project was making each child a personalized mask using black card stock, a silver Sharpie, wooden skewers, and sparkly pipe cleaners.
