American Idol with Elise Testone.

Last night we attended the American Idol concert in Charleston, SC. We had an unexpected change of plans, and I ended up having to leave my husband with two sick kids in the hotel room in downtown Charleston while I went with our friend and his parents. We enjoyed preshow cocktails with Elise's parents in the hotel lobby right next to the colosseum where American Idol was performing.  I was completely biased in my photography and only took pictures when Heejun Han and Elise Testone were on stage. I had to grab this cute photo of the two of them when it came up on the big screen.

We had been given backstage passes and stood in a line with other friends of Elise to see her after the show. I was super excited when my other favorite idol, Heejun came up to the room as well and I was able to grab a picture with him! (Albeit a very blurry photo with some stranger photo bombing us!)

I want to apologize for all the blurry photographs! I did not have the right lens on my camera and between my friend and I, we had the camera on the wrong setting!!!

Elise Voted Off.

Last night, we sadly watched as our favorite American Idol of all time, Elise Testone was voted off of the show. Number six. We really appreciate how she showed maturity and professionalism throughout the whole time she was on. We did think it was ironic that she was given most of the lead parts when the group as a whole would sing a medley together. They must know what we all know, that she actually has the best voice on the show. Here's a very blurry picture of her from last October when we went down to the Pawley's Island Tavern to hear her sing. On stage with her is our kid's godfather (and her really good friend) singing a song with her. Elise actually introduced us to our kid's godfather years and years ago.

American Idol.

American Idol on a design blog?!?!! Yup... it has absolutely NOTHING to do with parties or design, but everything to do with our friend! ELISE TESTONE!!!! We are a family who does not have cable in our home (gasp!), but we will definitely be watching American Idol via the internet and casting our vote for Elise. Congratulations to Elise Testone (pictured with our two kids)!
